Hey all, For those of you that didn't read my wonderful newsletter of last week, you won't know about Compsoc's Trip to IBM Hursley Park next Wednesday. IBM Hursley Park is one of IBM's top Research and Development labs and makes for a very interesting visit. IBM will lay on some very interesting talks from their team there who are literally at the cutting edge of their fields. Not only that but demonstrations of what they are working on which may not see the light of day for years yet. If talks and demos weren't enough, a guided tour of their campus in small groups is a near certainty. We'll be leaving the uni at about midday by coach, and returning back from Hursley at around 7:30pm. The coach has a capacity of 49 people, and only costs £4 each. This is the second year Compsoc has been to Hursley, and all those that went last year found it very interesting indeed, especially if you think you might like to work for IBM in the future! This trip is open to anyone within the university that would like to go, so if you fancy coming but don't know anyone going, bring a friend(s) along too. If they aren't a member of compsoc (and can't signup on the website) then just send an email to: exec@uwcs.co.uk with their name/uni number and all is well.
